Rangeland Truck and Crane is a progressive and specialized heavy haul transportation company providing services throughout North America from our facility in Calgary, Alberta. We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Company Driver who has experience with multi-axle trailer configurations.

At Rangeland Truck and Crane, we're constantly pushing the limits of what we've done in the past - propelling ourselves toward bigger and better opportunities, while exploring new market sectors and services.

Working out of our Calgary facility, a Company Driver will mainly carry a variety of loads for construction, oil and gas, mining, forestry and manufacturing industries throughout the United States and Canada. Occasional longer over the highway loads requiring longer travel will occur. We provide our drivers with a modern fleet of trucks with sleepers and specialized modular trailers. We value our driver’s safety and wellbeing and provide extensive training and compliance measures.

The successful candidate must meet the following essential qualifications and requirements:

-         Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

-         Class 1 Driver’s License plus a minimum of three (3) years of related driving experience including winter and mountain conditions, US highway and preferably in the Heavy Haul Industry.

-         Thorough knowledge and understanding of both US and Canadian HOS regulations and use of logs.

-         A mechanical aptitude and knowledge of truck & trailer components.

-         Knowledge of NSC and FMCSA regulations and Canada Labor Code Occupational Health and Safety compliance.

-         Able to handle a heavy workload and work effectively with interruptions and changing priorities.

-         Can effectively communicate both verbally and in writing; and

-         Able to cross the CAN/US border on a regular basis. A Fast Card is preferred.

-         Able to successfully pass drug and alcohol screening, pre-employment, random and post incident.

-         Less than 6 demerit points

The successful candidate will be trained in the following:

-         Knowledge of the types of trucks & trailers that are operated in a heavy haul environment and experience in operating large construction equipment to load it as cargo.

-         Knowledge in proper load securements requirements and techniques for over dimension and randomly shaped cargo.

-         To read and follow permit requirements.
